As we’ve moved so many of our workshop formats to online this last year — using Zoom to engage learners — here at the FreeTech Project we’ve realised the importance of enabling people to get Zoom and similar apps on their device, and then understand how to use them, on their own terms, as and when they need.

Adults in Sheffield, Doncaster, as well as Rotherham and Barnsley, and the surrounding areas, can now access any of our four crash course sessions to get to grips with Zoom – even if they’ve never installed or used it before.

Research & Development Officer Jane Watkinson said:

Thanks to South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, we have been able to offer free support from a distance for people to feel comfortable and confident with Zoom – and they can then even choose to progress onto our weekly workshops on Zoom which cover the internet and technology as a whole!

Those interested have a choice of 1hr sessions:

10-11am, Monday, April 19th, 2021

7-8pm, Monday, April 19th, 2021

10-11am, Wednesday, April 21st, 2021
