Following on from last year’s switch to distanced learning – and having run both a Sheffield FreeTech Project and a Doncaster FreeTech Project in this way – we are now proud to announce a series of workshops for all adults across the whole of South Yorkshire!

Residents in Sheffield, Doncaster, as well as Rotherham and Barnsley, and the surrounding areas, can access our free and fun online learning thanks to funding from South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation with workshops covering devices, cloud, free software, privacy settings, social media, spotting scams, and more.

Research & Development Officer Jane Watkinson said:

Thanks to South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, we’re able to continue to meet demand for our online workshops for all adults across all of South Yorkshire – not only with sixteen superb sessions but also optional booked slots for over-the-phone support and even Zoom tutorials to help people get to grips with Zoom itself!

Each workshop covers a set subject but also includes a personalised learning approach as well as “action learning” and skill-sharing amongst the participants, in addition to access to the FreeTech Forum for optional learning and communication throughout the week.

Those interested can sign up for our free newsletter to be kept up-to-date on the workshops or simply email info@libredigital.org to register for free online.
